My purchases
If you follow me on Twitter you won't have failed to have noticed that I have the honour of my jewellery being sold in the Smithson Gallery Pop-Up until Christmas Eve. I met Anna, the owner of The Smithson Gallery, on a screenprinting course at Spike Island Print in 2009. The Smithson Gallery was still in it's beginnings at this stage and Anna has worked tirelessly to make it the success it is today.

The Smithson Gallery regularly participates in shows, exhibitions and pop-ups across the UK including The Affordable Art Fair, Pulse and Top Drawer. I love the selection of artists that Anna as chosen, my particular favourites include Charlotte Farmer, Annie & Amelia, Jason Lilley & Annie Little to name a few.

Anna's latest venture is part of the Pop-Up Bristol scheme which is running until Christmas Eve 2011. Occupying the spacious shop in Glass Walk in the prestigious Cabot Circus shopping area, Anna has created a winter wonderland of local designers and artists.

You have just 11 days left to shop! Pop on by and say hello and pick up some gorgeous unique gifts made by local designers. While you're in the neighbourhood, do check out the other pop-up shops, Upfest and Bristol Creatives.

The Smithson Gallery is open 7 days a week from 10am until 8pm until 2pm Saturday 24th December 2011. Don't miss it!

New Purchases

I have admired the work of Gemma Correll from afar for a while now. Her love of pugs, cats and her illustration style are right up my street. After some sales this week I spent my Paypal money on some goodies from her Etsy shop. Joy oh joy the goodies turned up today and I'm thrilled. New stationary is always exciting, and this selection above is adorable.

Productivity or Lack Of..... New Year Resolutions in February

I always have a million things to do, a thousand ideas in my head. It turns out that I don't end up doing even half of them.

One of my new year resolutions was to be more productive, which is easier said than done.

The first step was quitting Facebook. As of early Jan I am no longer on Facebook, and I don't miss it one little bit.

Second step, joining the gym. Still going strong on this one (which is made easier by the fact that the gym is right outside my house).

Productivity so far, pretty good.

I find the day to day productivity pretty difficult to maintain. I am the queen of procrastination with no sense of urgency when it comes to anything. Everything can be done later, however this is slowly changing.

I find that writing everything down really helps. Sounds so simple, but it was something that I never did. A real motivation for this was purchasing some new stationary. Ever noticed how having nice stationary just immediately makes you want to write? (More on my stationary purchases later).

So onwards and upwards, writing is the way forward.

How are your new year resolutions going?
